Educational Offer

Since September 1970, an important academic history started with the first four-year program leading to the Bachelor degree. Subsequent achievements expanded its offering to major fields of study.

Admission Requirements

  • High-School Diploma

Admissions may be considered on the basis of any certificate giving regular university entrance status for the country of origin of the student making the application. For Caricom high school graduates: Five O-level GCE or CXC passes, including English language as a general admission, programs may require specific subject such as biology or maths according to the area of study. Contact the institution for detailed information on admissions requirements.

Historical Background

USC was founded in 1927 as East Caribbean Training School. Two years later, the name was changed to Caribbean Training College. In 1947, it started offering two-year post-secondary courses in theology, teacher training, business and secretarial science. In 1956, by a second name change, it became Caribbean Union College, and in 2006 it transition into university status.
