The Dominican Adventist University (Universidad Adventista Dominicana), offers quality Seventh-day Adventist Education in the Dominican Republic. In addition to granting several diploma programs, the college also offers a number of bachelor degree programs.

Location

The Dominican Adventist University (UNAD) is located in a 247 acre property in the community of Sonador, Bonao in the central area of the Dominican Republic. It takes about one and one-half hours from the capital, Santo Domingo, to reach the school by car. One may also travel by bus or private charter.

Historical Background

Founded in 1947 as a boarding school in the outskirts of Santo Domingo. In 1976, it gained the status of university. The government granted full accreditation on August 1982. The university was authorized to issue degrees in medicine, law, architecture, and any other major academic titles. Some programs are offered at an extension in Santo Domingo.
