Historical Background

It started as Bangkok Adventist Hospital School of Nursing. In 1986 Bangkok Hospital School of Nursing became Mission College. In 1990 an extension campus was opened in Muak Lek to offer a wider curriculum. In 1998 Southeast Asia Union College in Singapore was merged with Mission College. The institution achieved university status in 2009 and offers degree programs in two language streams: Thai and English (International programs). Asia-Pacific International University represents a union of three institutions: Southeast Asia Union College, Singapore (roots to 1905), Bangkok Sanitarium and Hospital School of Nursing (roots to 1941) and Mission College, Muak Lek Campus (established 1988). Founded in 1947, the School of Nursing was opened on the Bangkok Sanitarium and Hospital compound. In 1988, Mission College later expanded as a branch campus in Muak Lek. As the institution’s international programs continued to grow, University status was achieved in 2009.
